Good Friday... Good Day.....
Nak dekat petang pulak, kita ambik Haziq, kak Yan dan abang Herman kat Tampines Mall, dan abang Herman drivekan kereta kita ke Railway Station untuk makan dinner. Sampai disana orang ramai jugak, sampai takde tempat duduk. Abah kita makan Sup Kambing (tak pelawa orang makan pun), umi kita makan tahu goreng, kak yan makan nasi goreng dan kita semua makan hotdog. Abang Herman belanja makan Ikan pari sambal cincalok, daging kicap, kerang...etc etc...
Lepas tu kita ajak dia drive naik Mount Faber, sampai kat atas cable-car station, ingat macam nak naik cable-car tapi bila kak yan pergi counter dah tutup. Lepas tu abang herman ajak kita pergi Labrador Park... cari tempat pelik-pelik gitu, nak explore lagi tapi Umi ni spoil marketlah, dia takut tak masuk dalam lagi. Lepas tu bila balik, kita jalan ikut the Gap, jalan yang berpusing-pusing kat West Coast. Kita semua dan Haziq tidur kat dalam kereta pasal kenyang sangat dan penat. Lepas hantar mereka balik kat Punggol kita pun balik rumah.

Entiti, Gold Award and Tunang... and Blow!
The weekend starts off with the viewing of "Entiti - Bukti" at Tampines. But before that, Triplenoise got his wish of "Kuah Rawan - Sambal Sotong - Bagedil - Sop tulang" courtesy of Kak Eton... can be describe in 1 word "POWER! POWERpuff Girls! POWER Ranger!!!" 3 kali tambah beb!...
The Entiti VCD is kind of an enigma by itself. Not sure how to describe, its a mix of horror reality show with advertisements - commercialised reality show.. its more of "Where???" rather than "What?" are they talking about. In my opinion, video shots are full of artifacts, due to environmental scattered lights or dirty lens, so to point out this artifacts as "ghost" or "entities"... hmmm I don't buy that. To give it some "credit", the hotel room segment is kind of spooky, but again with some strings, water-sprinklers and a tv remote control, and the viewers imagination, it can be "horrific"... hhmmmmm.... give me a break.
So after the show, we head to Abang Ram's house to troubleshoot his WinXP PC, and we learn that Ikram won a Gold Award for his video in school, the video can be played at the sidebar on the left, below the shoutbox. Congratulations Ikram!
And so the following day (Sunday 13/3/05) is D-Day for Nur Zetty. The day of her Engagement to Mr.Iskandar (have yet to see him, forgot how he looks like already). The day start off with Marhaban at 10am, and the ceremony begins at 3pm. Lots and lots of food to eat, and the hantaran was Power! also, with cakes and cakes and more cakes. The word of the day is "Blow".. on why it was used as a term to take a picture of the wedding ring is beyond me... luckily the job just involves a camera. (I'm not going to mention who started using that word, let's just say... syurgawijr). So anyway, Good Luck Zetty and Iskandar.

YEAH!!!! WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!! We are Proud of You!!

Hotel....
Found this in the Internet :
"Every single hotel, there shall be at least a permanant room which should be left vacant at all times. No matter how full the hotel are, they are not to sell that room(s) to any guest. It was said that special room was "reserved" for those "special visitors". So, if you plan to stay in some hotel, always book in advance. Try to avoid walk in.
If the receptionist told you there's no more room available, do not insist one anymore or try to bribe them to give you a room. If you do that, most of the time the room you have will be that "special room". Sometimes those "special visitors" might go to other rooms also, so here's some tips on how to protect yourself:
Before entering your room, always knock on the door first, even you know the room is vacant. After you enter the room, if you felt very cold suddently and have "chicken spore", leave the room quitely immediately and go to reception to request to change room. Most of the time the receptionist will understand what's happening.
After you enter the room, immediately switch on all of the lights, and open the curtain to let the sun light in. Before you go to bed, arrange your shoes so that one of them is upside down. Some say this is representing yin & yang to protect you while you're asleep. Always leave at least a lamp on while you're sleeping, preferbly the toilet's lamp.
If you're staying alone and they have give you a twin bed, do not sleep with the other bed vacant, try to put your things like luggage on the other bed before you sleep. "
TripleNoise says "My friend who works as a security guard in a hotel says this is true, and another friend who works in another hotel as a steward, says this is true also. While I was in Yishun camp, theres a barrack which is left empty, so I think its practice even in the army too. So the next room you go in next time, could be THE room...... WOOHAAAA...hahaha...Whoo HAHHAAAA!!! (evil laughter)"

Punggol and Pierce
The place not bad jugak, tapi jalan nak pergi tu quite eeerie, kalau jalan malam-malam tentu "seronok". Yang herannya ada rumah-rumah terrace dan bungalow kat situ, dan banyak betul childcare. Dahlah tempat tu dulu banyak cina kena bunuh dengan jepun kat situ, tentu ramai entiti. But the best thing about the place tu kat jetty kecik.

Pakcik, my uncle
TripleNoise says "fooooh... what a day.. Got news yesterday Pakcik (mak's brother), passed away at the General Hospital. Doctor gave him 2 weeks, and that was 3 months ago. Didn't get to menziarah yesterday, because was way too tired. Didn't plan to go this morning for pengkembumian too, had to go to work.
On the way to work while driving, suddenly snapshots of him came to mind. I didn't remember him much while I was a toddler, but the most memorable was when I was in STI (singapore technical institute) and pakcik was selling in the canteen. Everyday I would eat at his stall, nasi lemak or mee siam, and for that 2 years I'm studying there, I would see him everyday. He didn't allow me to pay him, so for that 2 years my lunch was free.
What was memorable, was not the free food, but the sight of him seating there everyday alone while waiting for the students to buy his food. He have this same look like mak, solemn yet sereene look, sort of a look that is analysing people but silently.I was and still am, a complete dumbass when it comes to family hierachy or relations, so that time I was not aware he was mak's brother, all along I thought he was just our neighbour in the kampong.
Well remembering all this, I suddenly felt the urge to see him one last time. Called office say that I'm taking urgent leave, and change route from CTE to PIE Jurong heading towards Pusara Aman. Arrived there 9:30am and waited for the convoy to arrive. About an hour later they arrived, and immediately recognise some familiar faces, mostly from kampong days. Stayed throughout the ceremony and managed to see his face when the cloth was uncovered in the grave. Sebak dada for a while, but have to suppress sadness, cannot shed a tear in front of people.
After the ceremony, brought Kak Long, Kak Idah, Kak Minah and Faiz, whom I met earlier, to mak's kubur, and we stayed there for a while under the scorching afternoon sun. Later drove all of them to Jurong Point."

Powerpuff Girls
Going through our picture archives and chance upon this classic pic taken from hari raya 2003. Both with big round eyes... looking like long-time best buddies, like Thelma and Louise or Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie or Erra Fazira and Ziana Zain or Nadhirah and Sabrina...
Click the picture to see a bigger picture. (when you see the bigger pic, you can see Barney behind)
