Family Birthday Celebration.

3X says "Tonight we had a celebration of the birth of the founder of HJ Salleh Pte Ltd, 89 years ago. It was held on the second floor of Hjh Maimunah restaurant at Geylang. Lovely evening with family members. The food was a lot... it was really a lot! No need to say about the quality of food at Hjh Maimunah, I'm sure everyone knows why its always jam pack everyday.

Anyway, in this event, we have MC, video presentations, quiz, so it was so much fun. Thanks to Herman and Yan, who is the MC for the event. Very sporting of them, and I'm sure we appreciate it very much.

I like to talk about the videos that I received for the compilation. First is Pak Atid's family... very professionally done with Powerpoint. Good for Odah to use Powerpoint and a video phone, shows that you can produce something without any expensive equipment or video editing knowledge. I was very touched by their words, especially the part about Bapak always brings us to Bedok beach, which explains why a lot of us like to spent time at the beach. The video part of Abg Atid with Mak Minah, is so sweet, I like that part a lot too.

Next is Wani's video. Now this is a clever collaboration of father and daughter. The father provides the soothing background flute music, while the daughter reads the puisi. And you have to listen to the words. I am sure it was composed by one of them, and it sounded very nice together. This I feel comes really from the heart, one of the most sincerest words ever written for a loved one.

Next is Syurgawijr video. Of all the family members, they are the ones who spent the most time with Bapak/Tuk. I guess they know more about bapak, then the rest of us. Sufi singing the Oi! Oi! song, was so much fun, makes us all join in with him. And he was so sporting doing the dancing routine... this boy has showmanship qualities.

Abang Ram's family video is also one of my favourite. It's a video of the webcam of Noi who is in Australia. That's clever... who says you can't join in the fun, when you're miles away. Another part is Abg Ram wearing the "hat" that ikram bought for him while in China, spewing out "Happy Birthday" in chinese. The first time I saw that video of him, I was so shocked! Is that my brother? I didn't know he's capable of doing something like that. And at the end when he started spewing out "tinang bo tinang" I couldn't stop laughing all day... It made my day!

One of the most hilarious and creative video I ever seen, is the Ayangz and Skazies video. That herman is one crazy dude in the Batman costume... and I'm sure we all love him for that. And the horny Hulk (Is) who keep looking for his "bini", and doing some "sexy time" is hilarious! The song "Atukku" is brilliant. I'm not if they spent a lot of time practising for that, or it was impromptu... it was really brilliant.

The quiz by Abg Kadir, was very-very informative. I'm sure a lot of us appreciate the information with regards to our father/tuk. And the presentation was clever and top class quality. I'm sure a lot of thought and effort must have been taken to create it, just like all the above videos.

I was quite disappointed with the "projector screen" though at that place. Its just a cloth hang on the wall, and its not even opaque. There were lights everywhere, and the projection looks a little wash-out. But I'm sure that didn't spoil the viewing pleasure from the audience. Everyone enjoys it, no video is too long, or too short, I'm sure we be remembering the images in our head and appreciate the words from them. 10 out of 10 stars! Well done!
