Aki Mat & Wan Yati

3X says "There comes a time in a man's life, when he start thinking about what his grand-nieces/nephews should call him. Saw Haziq the other day, and I started thinking what will he call me? CikMat? Om? Tok? You see till now I am still confuse who is my nieces/nephews. The other day Mohd (anak mamai) call me Om. hmmm... it took me a while to think, eh thats not right. So in keeping with the tradition of orang perak, all you grand-children can call us "Aki Mat" or "Aki Om" and "Wan Yati".

Supernanny

3X says "Talking about TV shows, there's actually another TV show called Supernanny (http://abc.go.com/primetime/supernanny/). Its shown on Arts Central every Thursday night (I think). Apparently its one of those reality tv shows, that features family with very naughty children, where the parents can't handle it, and so they called upon this Jofrost (aka super nanny) to teached them a thing or two about parenting. First of all the title is mis-leading, its nothing about babysitting - i thought the "supernanny" will be the one disciplining the kids, instead its about her teaching the parents how to punish their children properly.
The children shown are really-really naughty (but who isn't right), I don't really blame the kids, its the parents of this kids who are really a bunch of dumb-ass people. If a child swears, spits, beats you -what do you do? Talk to them nicely? and ask them to sit at a "naughty" place for several minutes? Its like saying to the child - Do whatever you want to anyone on the street - and then sit down to rests at this spot for a few minutes and everything will be ok. For goodness sake give that child no 1 - Mental Torture and no 2 - Physical Torture... am I right?...hehehe just joking. Less extreme - Sometimes their butt just needs to be acquainted with your palm and 5 fingers, and a simple technique with a thumb and a finger (called pinching) usually does the trick, and to add to that dramatic effect - open your eyeballs as wide as you can and shout some "pass-down from generations" scoldings. The child will usually cry after this, but he/she will think twice about commiting the same mistakes....hehehe...
But all this should be done indoors, never-ever-ever punish (aka humiliate) the child (or even spouses) in the public. I always let things slide when they done something wrong when people are around, its a diffferent matter when they's nobody around. But for this to work - it must be followed by 2 equal amounts of hugs and kisses. I really do keep track of how many they "get", and then "give" them back twice as much.

Pompey!

3X says "Pompey! Pompey! Portsmouth FC can do it!. Why portsmouth do you ask, quite simply my degree studies is from UOP (University of Portsmouth, UK). Hence the connection I feel with this team. Since Sherringham and Berger no more with the team, it has since lose its bite, and Yakubu also dah cabut already. Nevermind, now got Lua-lua, hopefully he don't do anymore somersaults and injure himself again.
As you soccerneters should know by now, Pompey is fighting the relegation battle, with Birmingham and West Brom. Sunderland no need to say already - confirm out. What seems doomed about a month ago, now looks like a truely underdog story. 6 straight wins, a draw, and a "sickening wasted" lost (with charlton left 14 mins -damnit!) - and they are 3 points ahead of Birmingham and 4th from below. Hopefully West Brom losts yesterday and Birmingham will lose today, that will give pompey confirm seat for next season.
Their wins and loses does affect how I feel for the rest of the day. At work they tease me when Pompey lose, and there's only 2 pompey supporters in the college. There's the vice president and there's me. He's an englishman, born and lived in Portsmouth, and he has an actual football signed by all the players on his desk (you don't know how many times I want to run away with that football). So when we see each other, we talk about pompey all the time. He actually has met the Harry Redknapp. Luckily Harry came back to pompey, and didn't stay with Southhampton who got relegated last season (haha padan muka!).
So to all you man u, liverpool, chelsea and arsenal fans.... I got nothing to say to you... but to all Pompey fans - We can do it!

Nadhirah's Idol

We bought Mamee instant noodle last saturday, actually yati bought it, she say dia tak minat tapi beli jugak...hehehe. Anyway cover package tu gambar Amylea. Tapi bila kita bukak sekali dapat postcardlah, gambar Mawi pulak tu. Nadhirah punya terperanjat, terbeliak mata dia for 5 seconds lepas tu dia terjerit-jerit "Mawi! Mawi!" (should have taken a picture of her bila dia macam gitu). Now it becomes her prized possession. Dia cium-cium, peluk-peluk, tidur dengan postcard tu. Hehehe...

Humpty Dumpty

3X says "I'm sure some of us have watched a certain show about an old "king" having a discussion with his new generation of villagers. Usually I avoid watching these type shows, but this particular one is really watchable. I'm not sure how this came about, but its a first time in history you get to watched the guy getting "grilled" on tv. I'm not sure whats the agreement betweeen them, because if there's no agreement, libel suits could be coming their way. And what surprised me the most is the media people (journalist) putting it direct to him...hmm I thought the media is his people too.

Anyway, the usual scare tactics like "you weren't there when the trouble happens...". And if there's a new "king" in town, the country will be in total chaos - nobody will survive - everyone will die!!!... yeah right. Isn't this just pure speculation? If there's a new king, it will be an evil stepmother. Aren't there no good people left in this world? The question should be "What if there is a BETTER "king"!, the old "king" is just interested in hoarding all the money. What if the new "king" is more generous, more giving, more humane... wouldn't the village people be more happier. I guess that's what the villagers are thinking - "It could be better than what it is now... it could happen.".

This typical scare tactics are getting lame, "stick with me, and you will live, go with them and you will die a horrible death"... Come on!.... say I, my brain isn't a one-way-dead-end lane. For once I like to hear any "kings" admits "Yes we are scaring so that you come with me!" - no denials whatsoever.

You created papers that cost tens-of-thousands of dollars each that will entitled the local pheasants to own a carriage. You created homes like small pigeon holes and make the people pay ridiculous amounts of gold in order for them to live in it. Costs for basic living essentials like "fire" and "water" costs so much that when you shower, the phrase "money down the drain" takes on a whole new meaning.

The old "king" did mentioned frankly, that if a particular village voted for him, the upgrading of their huts will be prioritised. So in saying this, votes are actually for the benefit of his "castle people" and not necessary for the common villager. And he said his son, who is heir to the throne (literally), has his own mind. I think if he really has his own mind, he wouldn't be doing what his father is doing... am I right?

My village will be in contest this time, so there's no question if I want all the kings horses and all the kings men to be my charge. Frankly I don't know what the other would-be "kings" are, neither what they can offer or do for me. And its ok, because neither do I know what the "castle people" are doing for me. All I know they are making me give my gold to them all the time. I think its about time somebody else besides the castle people have a say about the villager's reserve bank account.

Video Showcase

3x says" I hope all of you enjoyed the videos showed. I sincerely believe our birthday boy appreciates and touched by our efforts. I like the hatim/suffi birthday video very much, suffi ada bakat jugak, atiq/wani video have very touching words, obvously written straight from the heart, wakdir video also very thought provoking, never view our family like a football team, very smart editing. And the live performance from Muhd/Danish were powerfull! Thanks for all the ucapan from everybody, all very sporting. At first I hope to get wishes from everybody, but I thought I got 2 more weeks, sekali last minute change of date, left 4 days to the event.
You all have seen the laptop I have been lugging here and there. Its a Macbook Pro, from Apple, just issued to me personally from my company (after pestering for nearly a year). This new batch of Apple laptops, have Intel cpu in them, and it has not one, but two processors in it. Dual proccessor means it can do everything at twice the speed. It has a built-in camera, remote control, 1gb of ram, 100gb of hard disk and built-in DVD-R writer. And best of all, now it can be installed with MacOSX and Windows XP... power!!! The 2 best operating systems in the world in one machine!!! Fast man!
As for the videos that I created like the intro, ucapan, outro and zetty's video, I have to used 5 tools : Photoshop (PC), Premierepro (PC), Final Cutpro (Mac), iMac HD (Mac), Particle Illusion (PC). Now all these software I can finally installed in one laptop, and rendered in double quick time.
So if you want a DVD version of all the videos showcased last night, just drop me a tag, and I make one for you."
