13th - 15th March 2008 - Pulau Tioman

How we end up here? I had to stop at Mersing to go toilet.

Park the car, go counter, buy tickets, board ferry, all vomit.

S$250 (rm$580) for ferry plus accomodation for all 5 of us.

 

 

Journey from Mersing to Tioman : 1 hour 30 mins.

Stop at Kampung Tekek. 

Take van, go to Coral Reef Holiday chalet.

Really cosy place, nearest to the sea, with shades and lots of hammocks.

Nice day to have a walk on the beach amongst the corals in front of our chalet.

The Marina and Jetty, short walk from our chalet.



Marine Park. Snorkelling. Lots of big, colourful fishes and corals.

Free entrance to Marine Park, just act like you are one of the locals.

Snorkelling gear rm10 per person.

We LOVE Snorkelling. And good thing we are on our own, no time limit for us.

YES!!! WE LOVE SNORKELLING!!!!

A walk to other villages, Kampung Ayer Batang to Salang.

All interconnected, and walkable for an hour or two.

Lots of topless sunbathing by the "omputih".



Don't take the van, just walk. Van charter too expensive.

Some of the many cosy chalets at ABC, very cheap between rm75 - rm110.

The best sleep I ever had, by the beach with the wind in a beautiful island.

The ferry ride home, sit at the top so that you don't vomit.

Watching the sunset... One of the beautiful island in Malaysia.
