The letter to Iman's school
"My son Md Iman Bin Md Rizal, of class primary T1 in Si Ling Primary School, has been telling us that his LSP teacher, Ms Loh, has slapped, pinched his cheeks, slapped his stomache repeatedly, and today he said he's been pushed by the teacher, and fell down and hit his head on the floor. Everytime he would reported this to us immediately after coming down from his van.
We are not paranoid parents and would not want to start accusing anything, as such we would welcome any explainations from anyone, especially the teacher, if what he has been telling us is true. We do realised that he is a slow learner, and appreciate the teacher's effort for teaching him, but we could not subject him to any punishments from anyone, even from a teacher.
Please enlightened us with any explaination, so as to put our minds at ease knowing our children is safe in the hands of the teachers while they are in school."

All about the Man of Steel
Ok got to catch "Superman Returns" at movies with the kids over the weekends, and like Star Wars, I am also a big fan of the series. Here's a little history lesson about Superman. The first actor to don the red cape is Kirk Alyn in 1948. And the first villain he had to fight was the Spider Lady. I wasn't even born yet when this TV serial was shown, but I guess during that 40s I don't think there's much special effects to see. Then in 1951, another Superman serials were made, "The Adventure of Superman" and it starred George Reeves. This one looks like an overweight superhero. The series ran for six years, and it had our hero fight mostly gangsters and sea-monsters.
1978 Movie, Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder. Now this one of course is what people (like me) remembers how Superman is suppose to be. I love this movie and the sequels following that. Christopher Reeve is the perfect actor to play him. Isn't it ironic, the man who played the strongest man on earth, died a paralysed man.
1993 TV Series Lois and Clark, starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatchet. This series is what makes Teri Hatchet the desire of every man (including me). Not a bad show with a good looking guy and a babe. Then in 2001 Smallville came to TV another potrayal of the man, but during his teenage years. But to me Smallville is very confusing, first of all, his love is not Lois Lane, but Lana Lane, and Lex Luthor is his best friend, and a good guy too... whats up?
Which brings us to 2006, Superman Returns, now starring Brandon Routh. This is actually a sequel and prequel at the same time. Its the sequel to part 2 where after revealing himself to Lois Lane, he made love to her and left the world. So in this one, he returns to earth after going "don't know where" for 5 years, and discovered Lois Lane has a family already, with a son. And here's the twist, her son is also his son (sorry for spoiler), and I was hoping the small boy to fly with his father. Anyway it is such a joke that no one can see that Clark Kent is Superman, if it so easy to disguise, I could rob a bank and then wear specs and no one would know its me...hahaha.
Anyway Superman is what every boy wants to be when he grows up. After the show, my boy Iman was also smitten by this superhero, and he will remember the man of steel like I did when I watched it the first time.

My Favourite Italians
Though its no secret I hate the Italians winning the World Cup, which goes if France win too, can't stand their boring game play... I do have admirations for some Italian players. Fabio Cannavaro, Fabio Grosso and Del Piero. These are the ones that I can safely say who play fair. Fabio Grosso broke the hearts of Germans when he scored the 112th min, and he was the last penalty taker against the final with France, he broke the hearts of 2 countries within a week... he's good. Cannavaro is a great skipper for the Azzuris, together with Nesta and Buffon, strikers find it hard to penetrate the defence at WC 98, 02, 06 and Euro 02 and 04. Del Piero's goal are all signatures, ones that you won't forget easily, he's curls are sweet and accurate. As for the rest of the team... head-butt all of the them.... oklah except for Totti, Zambrotta and Inzaghi...

The Nature of Materazzi
The Nature of Materazzi
If you think Zidane is violent, watch the video. Soccer is a contact sport, and tackling is normal, but Materazzi's tackles are sick, watch the slo-mos, it clearly shows intention to hurt the other player.

Zinedine Yazid Zidane
I feel for Zidane, yeah we saw him headbutt Materazzi, heck who can blame him, just look at Materazzi, he's a big guy with 'prison' tattoos all over his arms, and I'm not surprise if he's a very controversial person.
Well the Italians are a cunning team, they knew if they could somehow provoked Zidane hard enough, he would react and get red carded and that would be the end of him. Zidane was red carded when he stomped on a Saudi Arabia player in 1998 when he was provoked verbally too.
Well it worked in Italy's favor after all, but what the heck, Italians are used to getting things the easy way. Half of their team is involved in a game-fixing scandal with all the cheating in the Calcio, and that's the best team in the world? I don't know...
The bottom line is with or without the red card the guy is still gonna be remembered as a wiz on the pitch, and Materazzi just another lucky goon.
Hopefully you guys will remember Zidane as an artist and not as the guy who was sent off during his last game. The Adidas 2006 Golden Ball winner!
Viva la France!

World Cup Moment at Blk 313
Iman says "Hai kengkawan, semalam kita tengok world cup game placing 3/4 kat rumah Wakdir. Kita sampai sana pukul 10 malam, kak Mai dan abg Anis dah kat sana. Kita anak beranak semalam pakai jersey merah untuk represent Portugal. Kak eti dan abg Is pun ada jugak, dia orang bawak bantal merah besar. Bibik family sampai lepas midnight pasal dia orang stuck kat checkpoint."
Nadhirah says "Mak Eton masak Sup Tulang, foooohhh sedap sekali. Wakdir pun kasi kita makan tidbits crackerslah, coklatlah, gula2lah... kenyang. Sementara kita tunggu game nak start, kita tengok video pulau kapas, cerita "The Omen" dan bibik pulak bawak vcd cerita "Mayat tersempit ais." Cerita macam seram tapi takde sound, so semua orang buat cerita dan sound effects sendiri...hehehe"

p2p TV - Streaming TV via the internet.
With the help of broadband and technology, here's how I watch the World Cup Games this year.
1- SCTV, thanks to my big UHF antenna and THE best official world cup broadcaster
and also via this method
2- p2p TV, some of you may read about it and wondered does it work, the answer is yes, it does, no lag at all. For some of you who don't know about it let me explain, or rather I let this website explain - http://www.myp2p.eu/
I used 2 of the p2p TV programs that works for me : TVAnts and TVUPlayer. Here's what I do when the games are too late (3am), I watch and record it in on my laptop using either of this program, and if I "ter"sleep, I can watch the recorded game at work with the laptop.
Make sure you are using broadband (more than 200kbps), although the size is 320x240, it is still clear and watchable. I am now watching HBO channel while typing this. Yes, other than sports channel, like ESPN and CCTV5 theres some movie channels, like HBO and Hollywood, and even Cartoon Network, and also news channel like BBC, CNN and CCTVnews.
I gave you the link, you can give it a try...

Go for 3rd...
Again, another team rightly deserve to be in the final, not to be. Why is all the good teams : Spain, Argentina, Portugal couldn't score... why Pauletta strike, Christiano long shot and Figo heading couldn't get in, even during one moment at 78min when Barthez made a stupid mistake and lost the ball... arrrghhhh!!!
The lame boring defensive teams, like France and Italy who barely scrape through in every game, is up there... WHY!!!. Both these 2 teams got there by the help of the man in black. How can a referee see that as a penalty, Henry fell because he lost balance, not because of Ricardo kick... Italy also was help by the man in black against Australia, when during the last 8 seconds Grosso was brought down (imo diving) and Totti scored the winning penalty goal. Eeeeyyuuucckkks!!! make me sick. BOTH TEAMS DON'T DESERVE TO BE UP THERE!!!! bring back my spain and argentina... cry.. cry...

Bye bye Brazil... German...
sigh... sigh... sigh... finally the Germans have run out of luck. What to do.. what to do... Though they changed their style to more attacking football, somehow its not enough. Blame on Fabio Grosso, or the defender who suppose to mark him, how come he got space to shoot... sigh... I feel for all Germans, to lose in homegrown is worst then if you lose in a different country, because you have to face your countrymen on the field itself. Well soccer is 1% skill and 99% luck... what to do...
Brazil were the biggest disappointment of the tournament. They were more a collection of individuals rather than a team...and even the individuals failed to fire. Its good that Juninho asked all his teamates above 30 to step down to renew the team. Dunno wat the @#$* brazil was doing. I see also pai seh they way they play, 2 shots on goal in 90 mins. I think our family soccer team got more power. But how come nobody mark Henry, how come he's alone infront of goal unchallenged? Nevertheless... It is sad to see them go home... after so many world cup finals with Brazil, this finale will be different.

England Go Home!!!
12:50am oh hoo... what happened? Rooney red carded... hahaha whats with this fella, so much hype about his return to play, all that mind games from errikson, now he's out again. No Owen, no Beckham (change with Lennon), now no Rooney... who they bring in... Peter Crouch... I think Sven should use his Walcott now, no delivery from Beckham, Crouch like no use already. Lennon is good, maybe if he partner with the other youngster, Walcott maybe got good combination. Lampard after 30 misses still not scoring. Now Christiano ronaldo, is England public enemy... Now into extra time, england down 10 men, playing defence all the way.... let see what happens.
1:07am Half-time in Extra time... still 0-0. Have I mentioned that Crouch is useless, if I did, then I would like to mention again. Hope this one doesn't end in penalty shoot-out like yesterday... my heart cannot take it. Portugal must win!
1:26am AET 0-0, penalties to decide... my heart is beating fast... Portugal played beautifully, deserve to win.England got no rooney, beckham, owen to take.
1:40 I LOVE CHRISTIANO RONALDO, England go HOME!!! Months of Rooney and Walcott news, for nothing. Funny seeing Christiano celebrating and not consoling his england friends, they gonna hate him in England. Ricardo is the HERO!!! How he can save Lampard, Gerrard and Garragher penalties is a mark of the best goalkeeper... Lampard gonna need a lot of therapy after missing so many chances from this world cup, he can't even score penalty, Jose should sack him... hehehe.
Go Home England!!! Bring home your hooligans too... Go Portugal!!!
Waiting for the 3am game ; Brazil vs France

World Cup - I need a Coffee Cup...
3X says " Goodbye Maxi Rodriguez! Goodbye Crespo! Goodbye Requilme.. Sorin!!! I never thought I be sad when Germans win (by penalties aet)... they suck today! I always been a German fan, but not today... Argentina rules!!! they play rough but their determination plus skill is unmatched by any team. They have african roughness, european stamina and americas skill... oh I hate penalty shoot-outs!..."
I used to admire German football, I like their luck factor, they always come from behind and win, but then mostly end up second place. When I was young (kampong days) I admired Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, although he lost 2 world cups as captain, he's always the one to save the team when their down. My soccer heroes all hail from West Germany : Lothar Matthaus, Rudi Voller and Klinsmann, and my most favourite goalie, Schumacher. I don't quite fancy Ballack, Klose even Lehmann... the only player I like now is Oliver Kahn, but too bad, he's not playing this year, he was great in WC2002.
later : Shevchenko meets (versus) his Italian friends... I think I skip this game...
tommorow : Brazil vs France and England vs Portugal ....wooohoooooo!!!!!!
